San Diego Is A Large Presence at Global Gospel Fest 2
San Diego, CA – Gospel Works and Hot Springs Rural Network presented Global Gospel Fest 2 on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at the Historic Yuma Theatre in Yuma, Arizona. This four-hour extravaganza of great gospel music, praise dance, and theater drew supporters and performers from all over the West Coast and from around the world.
Guest artists from San Diego included M.A.N.D.A.T.E. Records recording artists, Martin Buelna, Evangel and J. Pierre. Also on the program were San Diego favorites Cheryl Dearing and Blessed and gospel hip-hop artist iPRAISEM. “We love San Diego and are so happy that you could join us,” said Roxann Latimer-Deku, executive producer of Gospel Works.
There was a lot of youth present at the festival and K.R.U.M.P. dance group ETD from San Diego created a lot of excitement with their impromptu “praise challenge.” During her performance, Evangel didn’t miss a beat when she noticed the young men getting their praise on and encouraged the young ladies to join in. She sang her popular song “Introduction” and young and old alike were singing and dancing in the aisles.
Proceeds from Global Gospel Fest 2 will benefit Casa de Esperanza Battered Women’s Transitional Housing Program of Yuma and Tamara Fore’s Hope House Orphanages in Africa. M.A.N.D.A.T.E. Records, Inc. is a Christian owned and operated music recording and development company, whose mission is to produce positive and inspirational music that is dedicated to spreading the Word of God.
