What do you get when you mix talent, passion, and humility with a vast amount of confidence, exuberance, and faith? M.A.N.D.A.T.E Records says you get the future of Gospel music, otherwise known as Singer/Songwriter J. Pierre.

Born August 19, 1985 in Virginia Beach, VA., Justin Pierre is the eldest of twin boys. He made his singing debut at the age of seven with his church’s youth choir, and his talent as a vocalist has been embraced ever since. Beginning in the 5th grade, he was always selected to participate in his schools’ advanced choirs and was the only student selected from the San Diego Youth Masters Chorale to participate in the San Diego Opera Company’s production of “Aida.” J. Pierre began writing songs at the age of 12 and later went on to receive an exclusive scholarship to Berkeley College of Music.

At the tender age of 25, this young, gifted and anointed artist has already opened for many of the industry’s best, including national recording artists Brent Jones, John P. Kee, Tim Bishop Brown, Andre Crouch, Kim Burell, Raheem Devaugn, Latoya Williams, Chico Debarge and most recently the chart topping Kirk Franklin, just to name a few.

In 2010 J. Pierre made his artist debut on the M.A.N.D.A.T.E. Records compilation CD entitled "Now or Never". Having two tracks on the album was a prelude to the much-anticipated new release of his 2011 official debut solo project entitled "Choose". Listeners are instantly taken aback by his delightful yet ferocious voice over the energetic music, while the deeply inspiring and powerful testimony in the lyrics stimulates your soul to the beat. As if that weren’t enough, seeing him live in concert is an awe inspiring, life changing experience. He is deeply connected to the audience through crowd participation, getting them amped up every time.

It is safe to say this young man, who is zealous for God's glory, is a musical/lyrical beast. He will definitely leave you wanting more! J. Pierre lists his mother as his greatest inspiration for the many life lessons she has taught him. He also notes Stevie Wonder, Yolanda Adams, Musiq Soulchild, Beyoncé and the Clark Sisters as his musical inspirations, but anyone who comes into contact with J. Pierre knows that he himself is an inspiration to those who struggle with climbing the ladder of musical success while maintaining integrity and faith. This young man is definitely a force to be reckoned with, and as J. Pierre's favorite Bible verse puts it, "Be faithful! For in due season, you will reap if you faint not!”
